PhD – Critical Thinking and Generative AI in Higher Education

Supported by the ANITI project (Artificial and Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute), in collaboration with the IRIT and CLLE laboratories.

PhD for a fully funded position focusing on the development of students’ critical thinking competencies in the context of Generative AI use in higher education.
This project aims to better understand how learners interact with AI tools (such as large language models) and how to support them in using these tools responsibly, reflectively, and effectively.

Within a confirmed CIFRE collaboration (i.e. French industrially funded PhD contracts) we are looking for a highly dynamic individual with background in Artificial Intelligence (LLMs, Multi Agent Technologies, Natural Language Processing, Signal Processing) for pursuing an interdisciplinary PhD in AI for Education in the beautiful city of Montpellier in the South of France.
