The submission deadline for the GALA international conference has been extended to 24 July 2020.

We are seeking original contributions that move forward the state of the art in the theories, technologies and knowledge available to support development and deployment of serious games (SG). Experimental studies are strongly encouraged.

  • Paper submissions due: 19 june 2020 10 July 2020
  • Accepted papers decided: 12 august 2020
  • Camera-ready papers due: 4 September 2020

Publication

The GaLA Conference 2020 Proceedings will be published on Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS, indexed by Scopus), and the authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version in a special issue of the Int.l Journal of Serious Gamesindexed by ESCI WoS, as the previous years.

The Games and Learning Alliance conference is an international conference dedicated to the science and application of serious games. The 9th edition, GaLA 2020 will take place in Laval (France) from 9th to 11th December 2020. The conference aims at bringing together researchersdeveloperspractitioners and stakeholders. The goal is to share the state of the art of research and market, analysing the most significant trends and discussing visions on the future of serious games.

The conference also includes an exhibition, where developers can showcase their latest products.

The conference is organized by the Serious Games Society, which is building a scientific community at the international level for shaping future research in the field. This community represents a significant blend of industrial and academic professionals committed to the study, development and deployment of serious games as really useful and effective tools to support better teaching, learning, training and assessment.
